The Cambridge Glass Company (1902 – 1958) designed and produced special pieces of glassware for any type of celebration.

When your coach arrives at the National Museum of Cambridge Glass, a staff member will board your bus to welcome you!  They will give a very brief history of the Cambridge Glass Company and describe the activities you will enjoy inside the museum.

Time Travelers is a unique journey through the history of our area centered on the Cambridge Glass Factory.  In May of 1902 when the factory opened, it was dubbed “One of the Most Complete Plants in the World!

Experience what life was like for a Cambridge Glass House family in the early 1900s!  Meet the mother, Mrs. Yonek in her babushka, who “held down the fort” at home making ends meet. How did she keep their clothes clean? Where did she cook and how? What was the neighborhood like? Who worked at the newly opened mammoth Cambridge Glass Company? What happened at the glass house during World War I?  Experience this and more!

2020 marks the 100th year since the enactment of the 18th Amendment and

The 1920s were the most prolific years for The Cambridge Glass
Company. Experience how the Roaring 20s affected the glasshouse and the City of Cambridge, Ohio. Visit the new “Speakeasy” display in the museum’s education Center. In the Roaring Twenties, a surging economy created an era of mass consumerism!

Skilled glass artists performed the Hokey Pokey many years ago at The Cambridge Glass Company. They were referred to as a “Shop”. Learn about a “Turn” and “The Move”. You might even be asked to do the Hokey Pokey!
